This is an original pastel artwork. The original artwork was created using Faber castell pitt pastels, carbothello pastels, rembrandt pastels and Pan pastels on Clairfontane Pastelmat. Pastel work cannot be sealed or fixed using any sealants as this will tarnish the overall finish of the artwork and dull the colours. However pastelmat paper is specially created to help lock in the pastels. Smudging of the top layers will occur if vigorously rubbed but it is generally very resiliant and of course will be completely protected once behind glass. Pastels have amazing light fast properties and the art will not fade over time. The picture will very carefully packaged and sent in a large letter box for the greatest protection.
